Coat

Longest of any cat breed with long undercoat and luxurious top coat. Requires daily grooming to avoid it getting matted and may require professional grooming every few weeks.

Build

Average build but with short stocky legs.

Face

Short flat face, with eyes and nose on the same level. The scrunched up face can cause the eyes to weep so do take care to keep them clean to avoid infection.

Love to lounge around and should be kept indoors as they are not particularly intelligent and can get into trouble if allowed outdoors. They can be very playful when they choose to be. Loves affection and will be happy to be pampered especially if introduced to grooming regularly when kittens.

Health

Can be prone to poly-cystic kidney disease with around 40% affected. Lifespan of 12 to 15 years.
